Our Partners

Change cannot happen without partnership. Carmichael Outreach relies heavily on our amazing partners who enable us to offer the programs and services we do. We are very thankful and appreciative of every organization and individual who is committed to supporting Carmichael Outreach via donations of food, clothing, money, and time.

Partner With Us

Want to join us in ending homelessness and poverty? Carmichal Outreach is always looking for new partnership opportunities and ideas that help us meet community needs and empower change. Visit our Contact page to get involved and share your ideas!

At Conexus Credit Union, they prioritize the financial well-being of our members. Conexus invests in the community to help improve financial literacy and well-being, and have been extremely important partners to us at Carmichael.

We thank Conexus for investing $50,000 to support the development of our new building, in addition to partnering with us to offer financial literacy classes to our community’s most vulnerable members. Conexus is also always there for us, donating sponsorship dollars and tracking down volunteers for various events and fundraisers here at Carmichael.

Carmichael Outreach is pleased to welcome Olive Garden to our Community!

We’re excited to partner with Olive Garden for our Food Recovery Program, where they have generously provided us with delicious soups and other tasy food for us to serve to our community. Soups on!

5 Days for the Homeless is a major fundraiser held each year at the University of Regina in conjunction with the Business Student’s Society at the Paul J. Hill School of Business. 5 participants sleep outside in an effort to open the conversation about the causes of homelessness while raising funds for the day-to-day operations at Carmichael Outreach. We provide support to this event through delivering classroom talks about homelessness and poverty, participation in policy panels, and attendance at events.

The 2018 event stimulated several discussions on local solutions to poverty and homelessness, and generated over $53,000 in funds, the most raised by any university in Canada participating in the campaign!

KSP Technology is the reason you can view this website. As a local IT business, they host our website in-kind and provide all of our IT support free of charge. Expanding our ability to communicate with our community is important to us, and that would not be possible without a functioning website and strong IT support.

KSP’s generosity and commitment to the growth of our organization is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is known and loved around the world! Local KFC locations never hesitate to provide us with donations of some of their world famous chicken, salads, and other delicious goodies to support our Food Recovery Program.

In addition to their contributions to Carmichael Outreach’s Food Recovery Program, KFC has also been a generous and regular financial donor for us. We appreciate our partnership with them as much as we appreciate their delicious blend of 11 herbs and spices!

London Drugs has been a great partner to us in many ways. Carmichael Outreach can always count on them to donate a variety of things like snacks, baby food and formula, canned items, and more.

London Drugs prides itself on sponsoring various community-based events and corporate initiatives that are in-line with its values and goals of building healthier and stronger communities, and we appreciate their engagement with our organization.

Red Lobster is committed to donating unused, wholesome food to community organizations every week. The company began with a leader who was passionate about making delicious, high-quality seafood available and affordable to everyone.

Red Lobster Regina is a key partner in supporting our Food Recovery program. The donations we receive help to supplement our grocery budget, and allow us to better meet our community’s needs for nutritious meals.

The Reaching Homes Program, currently managed by Namerind, is a key resource to the success of our Housing Support Program. Federal government funds enable Carmichael Outreach to hire Housing Support staff, who assist members of our community in finding stable and affordable housing, while continuing to work alongside individuals who need more comprehensive support. Operating the Housing Support Program would be much more difficult without the strategic, financial support of Reaching Homes.

The Access Children’s Fund is the core funding partner for our Children’s Needs Program, a program that provides for the basic needs of families with newborn children. The programs core provisions include:

– Diapers & Wipes

– Weekly milk distribution

– Cribs/carseats/strollers for new families

This program distributes over 30,000 diapers each year into our community and over 60 litres of milk each week to families in our community. We are so grateful for Access Communications’ partnership with our organization through the Access Children’s Fund and the Carmichael Outreach Children’s Needs Program.

Our relationship with the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF) is one that we value greatly. The SSCF works to advance community well-being by bringing together and supporting dedicated people and charitable agencies that envision a better Saskatchewan through philanthropy.

The SSCF has acted as a bridge between Carmichael and some of our key donors, connecting us with philanthropists that believe in Carmichael’s mission. Carmichael also holds a seat on the SSCF’s Vital Signs Community Advisory Board, where a variety of organizations get together to measure the vitality of our community and promote awareness of key issues.

The Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) is a Special Purpose Fund with the mission of making knowledgeable and effective investments in community-based initiatives throughout Saskatchewan, that strengthen the capacity of communities. The CIF Board and staff visualize a future of vibrant, resilient, sustainable and proud Saskatchewan communities whose citizens are engaged and actively working to enhance quality of life.

The CIF is an important partner to us, providing $25,000 in annual funding to support our Food Security and Nutrition program.

The City of Regina provides $60,000 to Carmichael Outreach each year through the Community Partners Grant Program. This money goes directly towards operating expenses and ensuring that Carmichael Outreach’s doors stay open. The City of Regina’s financial commitment to our organization is recognized and appreciated. The City of Regina has also provided a great deal of support to our Capital Campaign, known as the Imagine Initiative, which has focused on the development of our building! As well, thanks to their grants, we have installed a community shower and laundry services and a Healing Room.

Additionally, we work closely with the City of Regina’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy, Neighbourhood Development, and Social Development departments to provide community insight and help implement municipal policies.
